John has been making wire art since 2008. Lives at Lake Tekapo with his wife Lynda.
Came to Lake Tekapo 15 years ago to build a Bed and Breakfast Lodge, which is now For Sale, so he can spend more time creating Wire Art.
Born in The Netherlands and came to NZ when four years old with his family. First school was Le Bons Bay on Banks Peninsula, then Lincoln and Rangiora High School.
John always liked fencing on the farm, so working with the wire is enjoyable for him and creating new sculptures to take to the markets is a fun thing to do.
