Hi, welcome to this new creative gallery. I am a mum, a wife and full time artist and I live in Hamilton. My passion is all about playing with a variety of materials to create imaginative, beautiful arts and crafts. I love to dig my own clay to make earthy, organic handmade sculptures. I am fascinated and drawn to natural materials such as wool, cotton and silk and I like to combine these together to make soft purses, scarves and dream catchers or wind chimes.

I come from a wide background in the field of art and my passion for learning new techniques takes me to some wonderful locations. I have spent some time in Wellington, at the School of Design and graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Photography. Teaching art in Nelson has helped me grow as an artist. I was brought up in Christchurch and I studied sculpture at Ilam Fine Arts School at Canterbury University and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.

Some of the ideas and philosophies that I inherited there were to play with the materials and experiment and to be sensitive to the language of the materials. It all sounds so arty and it seems to work for me. So I hope you enjoy looking at these creative pieces as much as I have enjoyed making them for you.
