Rabbit is a small New Zealand children's clothing label, catering for two to seven year olds. It is a collection of hand crafted pieces that are designed and made in Auckland using predominantly NZ milled merino and cotton

Rabbit was born out of a frustration at not being able to find quality, stylish, ethically produced clothing for my then two year old daughter.

Rabbit aims to provide a mix of basics and interesting pieces that are excellent quality, practical and comfortable. Pieces feature beautiful, interesting cuts, appliqué, hand painting and dying, and prints that appeal to both parents and children whilst not conforming to mainstream ideas of what boys and girls want.

Rabbit garments are mostly made from merino or cotton knit fabrics. Merino is an excellent insulator, absorbs moisture, breathes and is soft against the skin. Cotton similarly breathes and is soft and cool against the skin. The use of knit fabrics allows Rabbit pieces to be comfortable, practical and accommodating of up to two years of growth.

Rabbit is committed to NZ Made wherever possible. Most garments are made by myself in Titirangi or local manufacturers and screen prints are also done locally. Fabric comes from Levana Textiles in Levin.

In the future you can expect to see more collections of quality, practical, hand crafted pieces, and a continued commitment to local and ethical materials and production.
