Pet Abode is a family business made up of designers, architects, and craftsmen that believe in creating a beautiful, functional world for humans and pets. We are based in Wellington, New Zealand, and are continually inspired by the animals in our lives.

Pet Abode believes in creating environments in which animals can thrive. Too often pet housing is made to be a shelter that doesn't understand the natural environmental needs of pets. We begin our design process by looking at the natural behavioral needs of the animal, and the environmental elements necessary to support their well being. We make sure, where possible, to follow the SPCA's pet housing standards. We want to support positive human-pet relationships, and we believe this means starting with the right environment.

We are fully conscious of our responsibility to preserve the environment. We make sure that with all our products we use the most environmentally friendly materials, and that all our wood is from sustainable forests. While creating beautiful environments for humans and pets, we must ensure that our natural environment doesn't suffer.

Pet Abode is proud to be fully New Zealand owned and operated. All of our products are designed and crafted right here, and we source our materials from local and nation wide suppliers. We strongly believe in supporting the New Zealand economy, and are proud to be doing our part to help grow other small NZ businesses.
