My Name is Louise Hayes, and I Make, using Spun-fiber and Fabric. Every piece is a one-off creation, pieces you and I have never seen before. Creations that will make us smile and creations that, little by little, help make this world a better place.

I come from a long line of artists and have been Making since a child. I learned many of my fiber art skills from my Mother. She had me spinning wool and stitching up a storm as soon as I could walk and talk. I was fascinated by the smell and feel of wool, and the rhythmical sounds of needles and wheels. I love sewing and tailoring, making all my own clothes and some made to measure for commission. I am also a Musician, playing violin and songwriting with my guitar, the odd bit of teaching and jamming into the night.

All Items are handmade in my home studio based in beautiful Nelson, where I beaver away happily while listening to National Radio, stopping for many cups of tea, contemplation, and the odd tune on my fiddle.
