Always restless I left Germany in early 2010 and came to New Zealand to do my PhD in Marine Science. Luckily I also met a great Kiwi man and we had a gorgeous baby boy mid 2012. We live in Matakana and I am in love with this area and want to stay. This great place and my two boys make me feel at home.
Since I can remember I used to draw, sew, knit, crochet and steel my Dads camera to take pictures. German winter days are long and dark and my Mum used to spend hours and hours crafting with me and my sisters. Grandma is a great knitter and she taught me the way of the needles when I was nine, and it was by her hand that many of my scarves and jumpers, ever saw completion.
I love being crafty and was always interested in designing and creating things. In 2010 I decided to start my own little label - hence meek was born. I like corduroy and fabrics with little prints and patterns. My screenprints are inspired by nature and usually originate from pictures I took.
All products are made in small quantities and sometimes even one of a kind so you can be sure that they are lovingly crafted.
I am more than happy to to take custom orders and also to ship worldwide. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
