Designs for children, by children, helping children

James 2:15-17 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

In 2008 I headed over to Thailand looking for an adventure. It was a trip that has become paramount in my life. While there, I had the privileged of spending a week with an organisation called Partners Relief and Development. They work with the displaced people of Burma, with a focus on free, full lives for the children of Burma. The experiences I had while there, and the stories they shared with me, stirred my heart and I began to dream. I believe that faith without deeds is dead, and so, by taking my skills (I trained in fashion design) and blending them with my desire to help people in developing countries, BrotherSister was born: a not-for-profit company selling ethically traded baby garments, with designs on them drawn by some beautiful Thai children. ALL of the profit from the sale of these garments is donated to Partners, who are creating a better life for children all over Thailand and Burma.

Welcome to my store! I am so excited to be able to offer you quality, ethically traded garments and the opportunity to join with me in the fight against poverty. Enjoy!
