Ever since I was a kid trying to make 'perfume' out of rose petals from my nan's garden, I've loved scent. My mother was an inspiration, of course; she favoured rich orientals and chypres from Guerlain and Hermes, and I was entranced by the way a spray of perfume transformed her into the very embodiment of sophistication. My dad also has always been a connoisseur, bringing us even as children tiny samples to try from great houses like Nina Ricci, Chanel, and Carven. Years later, it's a dream come true to have started my own tiny, quirky perfume house here in Aotearoa, making strangely beautiful botanical scents.

There are no synthetic ingredients in my botanical perfumes. Some people find that natural perfumes have less staying power than those that include synthetics, and they certainly tend to have a much more modest sillage (the scented trail that follows the perfume wearer), though it depends on your own skin chemistry, too. Solid perfumes wear even closer. Reapply as often as you like.
