The secret to this delicious soup is the stone. This stone began it’s journey high up in the Ruahine Mountain Ranges of Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.

After millions of years of receiving the first sun rays of the morning it was slowly transported by fresh ice melt down the valleys and into the headwaters of the Tuki Tuki River. Still high in the foothills it absorbed the flavours of manuka and tree fern with the crisp fresh notes of a mountain stream.

Tumbled to a smooth shape on it’s journey down the river it gained hints of summer sun and foggy winters.

Travelling through the fertile lands of the Heretaunga plains it absorbed the flavours of the produce grown. Hints of apples, pears, nectarines and grapes can be tasted.

Once it reached the rivermouth of the Tuki Tuki river it was preserved in the salty wash of the Pacific Ocean and baked on the shores of the naturally beautiful Haumoana Beach.

The Teatowel is made from 100% cotton and measures 750mm x 500mm. Printed in sepia on natural colour material.
