Dawn's fleece - fine light grey/fawn fleece 500g
Dawn is named for the colour of her fleece, a soft misty sort of grey/fawn colour, quite unusual and very lovely. She wasn't born here so she's not very friendly - in the picture she's the one with the ear notches looking at the camera as if it might bite her.
Dawn has some merino in her background so her fleece is quite fine with a shorter staple. It is prone to cross-fibres which doesn't affect its quality for handcrafting but can make it look less lush as raw fleece than some of the others, but it is beautifully fine and soft.
The average staple length is 7-8cm, making it mostly suitable for long draw, woolen spinning. We think it would make a beautiful soft jumper or cardigan. Expected yield 70%.
