NZ Greenstone Pounamu Roimata (teardrop) with Sterling silver binding,11cm long

Beautiful Long Hand carved New Zealand Greenstone or Pounamu in a tear drop or Roimata style pendant with a Sterling silver binding.
This lovely piece is carved from Tangiwai Greenstone found in the Deep South of NZ, it is very dark and shiny. And it has some nice translucency against the light.

The Maori believe Pounamu is a 'peace stone' it is a New Zealand treasure or Taonga.
Greenstone is believed to bring an energy of renewal, justice, courage and strength. It is a heart Chakra stone, making it a great gift for a loved one.
New Zealand greenstone is highly prized for it's colour & hardness.
Greenstone is also known as Nephrite Jade and the Maori word is Pounamu.
This piece measures 11 cm or 4.2 inches long and 1.5cm wide. I have hung it on a black adjustable cord 38-65cm long.
It will arrive in a gift pouch, and I include a handwritten card with the descriptive properties of the stone and symbolisim of the Maori design.

Overseas parcels are sent standard post and can take 2-3 weeks to arrive in the Northern hemisphere. Or please ask for an upgrade to DHL, this takes 6-10 days to arrive in the Northern Hemisphere.
