This is a one-decade rosary, also called a pocket rosary. These little rosaries are a handy way to carry a rosary with you as the small size means they slip easily into a pocket or purse - great for busy people on the move. I've made this one in the tenner style - that is one decade of prayer beads and a larger Our father bead in a straight line rather than a circle.

At the beginning is a fab brass cross, cast in brass from an antique original. It has lots of symbolism, including a Holy Spirit dove in the middle, the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart, St Joseph and St Chistopher and more. At the toher end is a beaten brass ring which can be slipped over a finger or thumb, or used to secure the rosary inside a purse or similar.

I've made this little rosary with 8mm round and 9mm rondelle Czech crystal beads, and one big 15mm crystal bead for the Our Father. The rondelles are facetted and the rounds are fluted which makes interesting texture when using the beads. Each is individually wire wrapped, making a very secure rosary.

This attractive rosary is suitable for regular use, or would make an ideal gift for someone who "has everything". It will come attractively presented so you have a treat to open, or so it is ready to give as a gift.
