Eco print silk scarf

Leaves reveal their beauty in this fine 100 %silk scarf. I've gathered them on walks in my local environment and after hours of gentle steaming onto fine silk they reveal the natural dyes within. The technique is known as eco printing and it completely sustainable. The prints are finely detailed. After giving up their dye the leaves are composted so they return to the earth. The colours on the silk shimmer and can be difficult to photograph accurately. The hems of the scarf are hand rolled. No two scarves are the same. this one has rose, tiny maple and oak leaves.

Light and easy to post, an eco print scarf is an unusual and beautiful gift of wearable art for someone you love including yourself.

I've packaged the scarf in eco printed paper, that may differ from that in the photograph, and tied it with handspun natural wool. Included also is a note about the making of the scarf and care instructions.

Care: Wash by hand using hair shampoo. Rinse and dry in the shade. Press on steam setting if required.
