St Thérèse Pocket Rosary, Lampwork Glass Beads

St Thérèse is often called The Little Flower of the Child Jesus. Thérèse lived a very short life, dying at the age of 24. She became a Carmelite nun at an early age after spending great energy trying to convince people, including the Pope that this was her desire. So zealously did she dedicate every thought, word and deed to Jesus in the practice of her "Little Way" that she became a doctor of the church, a title given to very few people. Known for her special love of roses, St Thérèse is often called on to have one sent from her heavenly garden as a sign of hope.

I've used beautiful handmade facetted lampwork glass beads in muted shades of pink and green with tiny roses inside the glass to make this pocket rosary. The beads are each finished with wee silver end caps and individually wire-wrapped together which makes it very strong. The rosary begins and ends with a lovely medal of St Thérèse holding roses in her arms.

Pocket rosaries are a convenient way to carry a rosary with you for those quiet moments in a busy day, and are popular for people on the move or who travel a lot.
