I'm a kiwi living in Japan and have discovered a passion for taking old discarded kimono fabrics and turning them into something new and beautiful. My current project is making the Paper posy wrist ties, combining delicate handmade Japanese washi-paper origami flowers with vintage kimono fabric. They make an elegant statement and will dress up any outfit, even a pair of jeans.

Because I'm lucky enough to be living in Japan at the moment it means I get to spend time pouring over lovely old fabric in our local antique shop. If ever there's anything you'd like me to look out for on my op shop travels just let me know and we can negotiate a price when I find it.

If you like my designs but would prefer a different colour or pattern I would be happy to custom make something. It's important to bear in mind though that because I'm working with second hand fabric, from time to time there may be the odd pin hole or imperfection in the material. But if you're like me and love the fact that this fabric has a history, then you won't mind.
