Millefiori means “1000 flowers” … Similar to the Venetian Millefiori technique with glass, I take raw polymer clay and design each of those little tiny flowers or details into what’s called “canes” from the clay. From my cane work I then take thin slices off the canes and apply those wee pieces onto my piece, then it is baked, sanded several times, buffed and sometimes, I also put on several coats of, separately baked on sealer, to protect each pendant. Every piece is unique, and made with love.
