Artist Statement
Yvonne’s materials and processes are varied and unpredictable. The results of tactile textures, smooth surfaces and inter-woven visual connections create a diverse body of work.
Whilst Yvonne is creating with fabrics, fibre, mark-making and colour she is drawing on a lifetime of skills and referencing a varied and adventuresome life.

Flax, wax & print Artworks
A flax weaver for more than 30 years, Yvonne creates wild and wonderful contemporary artworks.
Yvonne utilises various techniques of print making; mono, relief/collargraph, screen print, intaglio and etching.
The encaustic wax medium intrigues her by its translucency and its surprising diversity of outcomes when applied to different materials.
