I'm an English language teacher who taught in primary schools in Malaysia for 18 years, and have been teaching migrants in Wellington for 5 years.

My beloved Lassie, whom I rescued 11 years ago in Malaysia, is the inspiration behind my book. I wanted to share her story, inspired by true events, to foster empathy and kindness among children and adults alike towards homeless dogs, hence the creation of The Little Survivor. My ESOL student, Sheng Yue, who is now a good friend, illustrated the book.
