Although I’ve trained as a two dimensional designer, I’ve always been drawn to making three dimensional things, forming shapes and solving problems in 3D space. I love the elemental physicality of working with silver. There’s something about forming and joining metal that can make you feel connected to artisans from millennia ago.

For me, making every piece by hand is essential to keeping that connection between the artist and the person who wears it. Retaining maker's marks in the finished jewellery helps to give each piece a voice and personality. I like working with simple and sometimes quirky forms and letting them have their way with me.
