The astronomer of Devonport Astrophotography (moonphotos) has been taking photos of the moon and deep space since acquiring his first telescope several years ago. Already a keen hobby photographer, and a computer professional by trade, it was a short leap from astronomy to astrophotography.

The telescope currently being used is an Orion Atlas 10 EQ-G with GSO coma corrector and IDAS LPS-P2 filter and the camera is a Pentax K10D.

Most photographs we sell are taken in Auckland, New Zealand, but we take every opportunity available to take advantage of dark skies in other locations.
