Thanks for stopping by!

I'm Vicki owner of Little Eco Folk.

My botanically hand dyed art and gifts are inspired by, and infused with, local nature and Aroha. Plant-based dyes create stunning colors that shift, change, and come alive in natural sunlight. My botanical palettes are hand-mixed from sustainably sourced, organically, homegrown and locally foraged plant materials. Nature is perfectly imperfect and unpredictable with no two dye baths the same. As the botanical dye interacts with the fabric, unique markings and colour variations occur—a process just like nature itself, which should be celebrated. This makes each a slow crafted, individual piece of art.

I try to dye with the seasons and mainly from homegrown and locally foraged foliage dye plants. I grow a lot of my own dyes (zero dye miles) I where possible dye with a closed loop system with everything going back to the earth - waste free.

I believe we all have a responsibility to live our lives as sustainably as possible.
I bring sustainability into every corner of my business, from the materials I use, to the way I package our items, to the way I want my business to grow.

Sustainability is at the wairua of what I do.
