Crafting nature's finest fibre

I had spent many years teaching English at a Girls High School in Christchurch and playing around with yarn in my spare time, spinning, weaving, dyeing, and knitting. A few years ago I decided it was time for a change and talked to my old friend Henry, who farmed sheep in Waimate, about producing wool from a special flock of merino sheep. The wool these sheep are bred to produce is of the highest quality, that's ultrafine and superfine grade, naturally coloured, and untreated by harmful chemical processes. With this philosophy in place we now create products made from a totally unique fibre of the highest quality that retains a truly natural integrity. And so the JaneHenry Merino story begins...
