I am Dr Ritu Gupta, as most artist, painting was my passion since childhood. However I could not study art & always ended up studying science till my PhD. After my PhD in Malaysia, I could not work and my life was becoming monotonus with same household chores and activities. Then art re-entered in my life and saved me from negative emotions & worries. The colours & brushes always take me to a beautiful & colorful world where I have all the freedom to paint and the process gives me immense pleasure. The strokes feel so soothing & calms my mind down. Since the past many years I have grown better as a self-taught artist. I paint with acrylics mostly but in between also have fun painting with watercolors.

Nature, its beauty & colours always inspire me but the dramatic skies amaze me a lot as well. I have been painting since 2017, participated in exhibitions, painted book covers, did commissions and sold many artworks in Malaysia.

But I am back to NZ after nearly 14 years, all because I love NewZealand, its beauty & lovely people. Finally I came back and feels like a dream came true!
