Daniella specialises in producing hand-made, hand-dyed fabrics from her base in New Zealand's North Island.
Her lovely eco-printed products are created by layering prepared fabrics or paper with local plants and flowers. The cloth and leaves are bundled together, tightly bound and steamed, creating a permanent transfer of pigment from the leaves to the cloth. No external dyes, inks or paints are used in eco-printing. The prints and patterns come from the plants themselves.
This beautiful technique uses sustainable, organic and non-toxic materials, and taps into the beauty of local plants we see every day and often take for granted.
