I am passionate about colour, textiles, and design.

My background is in design having studied at the school of Colour and Design in Sydney. I created Claire Leblond Design and my collection of one off handmade dolls as an extension of this training and love of colour and textiles. I've also used my childhood growing up in South African as influence in doll making, and I purchased my first rag doll from a craft initiative in South Africa 6 years ago just before my daughter was born, having found nothing beautiful, meaningful and handmade on the local market.

Today my love of handmade dolls has bloomed into a full-time profession, working from my peaceful garden studio in Birkenhead Auckland.
Most days I can be found in my studio with a few pets scattered around, a cup of hot coffee, music playing and a pile of dolls I'm working on.
