Originally from Germany, Catrin studied Art History at Tuebingen University and worked in Latvija before moving to London and travelling through Asia en route to New Zealand. She lives now in Parau, near Cornwallis Beach, with her husband and two little children.

“ I love working with different materials. I cannot pass a craft fair, bead shop, garage sale or even the local beaches without finding something that gives me new ideas. I love colours: a platter of food, a farmers marked, the Waitakere Flora in different seasons, and of course my children’s ginger hair are all inspirational in my designs.”
