I'm a mixed media artist living in rural South Taranaki. I paint, print and collage to make original works on paper and wood panels. Many works are based on my memories of the New Zealand landscape, particularly the defunct Patea Freezing Works and Cool Stores, and the cool glacial waters of the Hokitika Gorge.
Often symbols appear, such as a mast or sword-like shape, that have no obvious meaning to me until I’ve completed multiple works.
I have an Advanced Diploma in Art & Creativity (Honours) from The Learning Connection, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Sociology from Massey University - both disciplines inform my work.
