The Brown Bach Studio, established in 2016, is positioned on a cliff top overlooking the Tasman Sea in small, coastal town Opunake. It is the home based studio of artist-designer Claire Jensen who works with new and salvaged materials to create art and gifts for the home and garden based on kiwiana and folk art themes.

Brown Bach motifs are often reminiscent of Scandinavian folk art united with familiar symbols of New Zealand culture, fauna and flora. Many of Claire's designs also evoke a sense of kiwi nostalgia in the use of text, imagery and salvaged materials.
