Hello,
My name is Ruth Bramble, my friends call me "Ruthie"
I live with my family on the Shore, and teach Ceramics part-time at Mairangi Art Centre. I generally work in small collections, or commissions, and combine my love of textures, colour, and collage, to create unique pieces in Stoneware.
My inspirations are generally drawn from the natural world around us,- trees, flowers, the seaside, vintage fabrics and nostalgic themes.
Some of the objects I make are functional, while others are purely decorative. To build up color and texture on my work I uses a variety of slips, with Sgraffito, stamps, and sprigs, which I make myself.
I am lucky enough to sell my work in a number of Galleries in the Coromandel, and the South Island, and participate in Auckland's Indie Craft Markets.
