Hi there and welcome to ASpankofZanz!

My name is Emma, I am the creator of ASpankofZanz. I live in the sunny Nelson region. I was raised by artistic types under the mountain in Taranaki.

ASpanofZanz was created by me in 2011 as an artistic direction to showcase my love of colour and embroidery.

Although I had been a hand sewer all through my childhood, I went on to utilize most of my artistic skills in painting for much of my life, it wasn't till years later I was inspired to sew again, this time I was able to incorporate all my found passions into my work, my love of dolls and handmade toys and my hoards of beautiful vintage and retro fabrics and ties, and my favorite mediums of all, Felt and embroidery threads.
Now all these materials combine to create the collectable characters of ASpankofZanz.

Either as a gift for someone special or for yourself every piece is a special companion designed and handmade exclusively by me with love.
