Hello, I'm Anita. I spent many years working in Marketing and Administration in London, Hong Kong and New Zealand. In 2019 I decided to follow my dream to start a small business creating calligraphy on candles. Working in Central Auckland, I am in my happy place creating beautiful lettering for my candles. I get a wonderful feeling seeing the joy and receiving the lovely comments from clients when they view the finished candles.

Each candle has lettering that I have personally hand inscribed with permanent inks and acrylic paints. I have recently added dried flowers to some of my candles which are embedded in the wax. These look really beautiful as they seem to be magnified in the wax and you can see every detail. Clients discuss with me the design they would like on their candle; a special message, name or illustration for any occasion. The lettering can be written in italic, foundational, fraktur, cursive, modern, uncial and illuminated decorative alphabet scripts on different candle sizes. I have always been inspired by the different beautiful lettering styles dating right back to the 8th century and enjoy playing with my designs.

I am able to design and courier a candle within a few days once a customer is happy with the design, which is mutually discussed. The Courier price is $10 within New Zealand. Or alternatively, if you live in Auckland, I am happy for you to collect your special candle.
