HANDPAINTED WOOL CREPE
This soft 12-ply wool crepe was professionally spun in Anna Gratton's boutique mill in Waituna West (close to Feilding) from fleeces from her own Pukera flock of Corriedales. I've hand painted it in luscious lipstick colours that are best represented by the close-up picture of the yarn.
Wool crepe has a beautiful drape and doesn't pill as easily as wool normally does. It's perfect for knitting on 4 to 5mm needles and makes a soft, yet hard-wearing fabric that is suitable for jumpers and cardigans, scarves, hats and other garments.
I have 320g in total - one centre-pull ball of 150g and one of 170g.
