St Rita, the patron saint of impossible cases, lived in Italy from 1381 to 1457, enduring a life full of troubles with steadfast faith. She wanted to enter a convent when young, but was forced into marriage with a violent and cruel man. He was murdered and her two sons both died before she was able to finally enter a convent, where she led a life of perfect obedience and great charity.
This chaplet (small rosary) is in the traditional layout for St Rita, with three groups of three beads. It comes with a pamphlet that has the prayers to go with it.
I've used 12mm round lampwork glass beads that have lovely pink roses inside crystal clear glass, with each bead wire wrapped for strength. This chaplet will last for many years of use.
The center medal shows St Rita on one side with the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the other. The crucifix has roses at the ends of the arms - both the cross and the medal are cast in brass, imported from Italy.
A lovely chaplet for someone who has an affinity for this Saint, or it would make a thoughtful gift for a friend or addition to a collection.
