Forest splendor (heart mosaic magnet)

Size – approx 9cm long x 9cm wide (at widest point)

These funky mosaic magnets are a unique way to bring a little art into the ordinary every day. They look great on the fridge at home or on the filing cabinet in the office and make a really fun gift for a friend.

Shapes are cut by hand from 3mm MDF board and sealed with a protective undercoat. Pieces of ceramic tile and old fashioned pre-loved crockery are arranged in a delicious montage of colour and pattern. The mosaic is then grouted and the back of each piece is sanded and painted black. A magnetic sheet is cut to shape by hand and sealed to the back of the mosaic.

While designed to be mainly decorative, these are also functional which is a lovely plus! Please note that due to the size and weight of the mosaics the magnets are strong enough to hold 1-2 pieces of paper only.
