Pā o te hā cushion in Red
Pā o te hā means 'meeting of the life essence'. The pattern was inspired by a combination of kowhaiwhai (Māori painted ornamentation) Norse and Celtic knotwork designs and represents the coalescence of my daughters Māori and Pākehā ancestry. This is her design, hand drawn during 2023 (Ngāti Toarangatira, Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāpuhi)
