Hand Carved Wood Feather Spoon
Hand carved from a piece of salvaged Feijoa wood using traditional tools including an axe, carving knives and gouges/chisels.
Carving this feathered design was a meditative experience, like 'wood therapy.' The process of carving the line (vane) made me feel dancing between mindfulness and creativity, as each line is similar yet unique.
The bowl of the spoon is lightly sanded for a matte finish and treated with multiple coats of a natural, food-safe blend of pure tung oil and citrus oil.
Please note that this spoon should be hand washed only and is not dishwasher safe.
