Plant dyed merino - Kea
Hand dyed using all natural plant dyes in a citrine green colourway. Aotearoa grown Merino and Lincoln wool blend. Lincoln is a 100% natural fibre, adding strength to the yarn without adding synthetic fibres such as nylon. Perfect for small projects such as socks or beanie.
I small batch dye in my Kaipara studio, using a natural zero waste process. Plants are harvested sustainably to make an immersion dye bath. In a second dyeing step, the variegated colours added using complimentary plants sources. Mordants have been used to ensure longevity of colours. Each skein is unique.
Colours have been photographed as accurately as possible.

Hand wash finished garment in warm water using wool wash only.
