This is a cross stitch pattern for an iconic Maori Koru or Kowhaiwhai design. The koru (Māori for "loop") is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolizing new life, growth, strength and peace.

All of KiwiXCrossing's patterns have been test stitched to make sure that they are perfect. A computer generated image is not enough to ensure the colour and shape work in real life, so I refuse to sell anything that has not passed this crucial part of pattern development.

The finished design measures 18cm x 10.5cm, when stitched on black 14ct Aida. This design uses only white cotton floss, but you may wish to use your own colour of choice. Only full cross stitches are required for this pattern.

You will need approximately 1 skein of white cotton floss and black 14ct Aida.

Your Koru 3 pattern will be available for download as a 2 page PDF.

This is a PDF Cross Stitch Pattern, not a finished product. No materials, such as fabric or floss are included in this listing. The above images are for reference only. You will NOT receive anything via mail, I will NOT refund your money if you have purchased this listing expecting a physical item to be delivered.
