This Hand carved Toki piece has been shaped out of Ancient Native New Zealand Fiddle back Swamp Kauri.
It has been selected from the Root Nodule of the tree for its beautiful Fiddleback Grain, Colour and fire which is a 3 dimensional play of light unique to this Kauri.
The Kauri has been Carbon dated at just over 40,000 years old and has been buried in the peat swamps of the Far North region of New Zealand
This piece is 62mm long x 28 mm at the widest point.
This piece have Green/Black Mica resin added to fill the cavities and form the Toki adze shape.
They are also sealed in Non Toxic Polymer resin to protect and buffed with Carnauba Wax to last for many years
This is a one off unique piece made from a very rare, valuable Timber
