Original Linocut - Triangle of Mental Health

Limited edition of 20 hand-printed reduction linocut artworks.

This artwork was inspired by New Zealand/Aotearoas incredible network of backcountry tramps. In particular a tramp through the Longwoods Forest in Southland, where the bush is dwarfed from the wind and cold. Despite feeling small in the dense bush you also feel like a giant, almost being able to touch the canopy. Feeling dwarfed in the world, by societal pressures, by issues larger than you yet when you see that little orange DOC triangle you know you are on a path to clear your head, refreshed, alive. ‘Triangle of Mental Health’ is an ode to the little orange DOC triangle.

Approximately 19cm x 24cm printed on fawn coloured Stonehenge paper, with 1 deckled edge and 2 torn edges. All of my artworks are hand-printed, with either the back of my hand, a spoon or a baren. This means that some prints may have small differences depending on how much ink or pressure was applied.
