Wheke (octopus) toy
I was inspired to crochet this range of wheke (octopus) after seeing some amazing creatures at the Island Bay Marine Education Centre last year.
Crocheted from a blend of cotton, acrylic and wool yarns, they come in a range of colours:
Large blue - 120mm high x 90mm wide
Large cream/rose - 120mm high x 90mm wide
My wheke are safe for babies because I embroider the eyes with cotton yarn instead of using safety eyes.
