Vintage kimono meditation cushion - purple/ivory
Meditation cushion for sitting meditation/zazen or yoga meditation.
Vintage kimono silk with purple floral design, paired with ivory cotton blend fabric. Note the small holes visible from the unpicking of the kimono.

These cushions are especially good for comfortable sitting, as the buckwheat husks can be moulded to create the slight sloping angle that is needed for the correct curvature of the spine while sitting cross-legged or kneeling posture.
The cushion features:
- a washable outer cover with covered zip (fabric is 100% cotton drill)
- an inner bag filled with NZ-grown buckwheat husks and fabric scraps (I reduce waste by putting a few of my scraps in each bag's filling rather than throwing them in the landfill)
- a handle for easy carrying
- standard size: diameter 30cm, height 14cm
- can be made in a smaller or larger size (some price increase may apply for considerably larger cushions)
