Fused Glass Gerbera Flower Bowl - Pink Passion
This fused glass flower bowl is made from two shades of pink glass The centre of the flower is a deep violet and features hundreds of glass "balls" highlighted by pink dichroic balls around the edge. Each petal is hand cut so no two bowls are the same.
This piece was fired in the kiln twice. The first fusing, at a lower temperature than normal, meant that the petals and glass balls retain lovely texture and definition whilst still being gently rounded. The second firing used heat and gravity so that the glass flower slumped into a ceramic mold. The mould is fluted, so the petals have a natural undulation.
The bowl measures approximately 270mm in diameter and is 60mm deep. Please check my other listings for other flower bowls.
