This Hand carved Paua piece has been shaped out of Ancient Native New Zealand Swamp Kauri.
It has been selected from the Root Nodule of the tree for its beautiful Grain, Colour and fire which is a 3 dimensional play of light unique to this Kauri.
The Kauri has been Carbon dated at just over 40,000 years old and has been buried in the peat swamps of the Far North region of New Zealand
This piece is 55mm long x 50 mm at the widest point
This is a one off unique piece made from a very rare, valuable Timber
