New Zealand grown merino wool yarn.
This beautiful wool was spun as a slightly energised single yarn at Wild Earth Mill in Christchurch.
I handdyed the singles and then handplied two together on my spinning wheel.
This two plied yarn makes a soft fabric whether you knit, crochet or weave with it. It behaves well and is strong enough for both warp and weft in weaving.
The colour is deep red/pink with splashes of green, gold, bronze, purple and aqua.
100g - 195 metres DK weight
Recommended knitting needles - 4-4.50mm
Weave at 7.5- 8 DPI
Crochet hook - 4.50-5mm
Care - gentle handwash in mild PH neutral detergent and cool water.
