Long ago, in time before recycling was something we grew up really understanding. When beer cans came with environmentally damaging, plastic 6pack holders, which we thought were oh, so handy. Cans also had the trusty 'tear tab'. Another feature of the can to de discarded once removed, and the long thin plastic straw put into the fizzy liquid or iconic apple & orange juice of the time. (If you were cool, you'd just drink straight from the can.) The resulting tear tab had an edge just sharp enough to cut your foot if stooden on. The 70s & 80s were a magical time for childhood memories to be made.
How times have changed.
