Kati Brown Designs - original jewellery and accessories handmade in Helensville, Auckland - just for you.

The special feature in this necklace design is a true vintage Italian glass intaglio. Intaglios have an image carved into the glass which has layers of colour, so that different colours are revealed through the carving. This one is honey and amber.

I've wrapped the intaglio in brass petals, and incoporated it into a double layered necklace - one strand is little black onlyx gemstone beads separated with brass chain, and the lower strand is lovely amber glass ovals etched with gold lines. The strands meet at an ornate brass connecting link, and finish with a twisted mother-and-son brass chain and toggle clasp.

The length of the necklace end-to-end is about 52cm

"Minerva's Dream" will arrive in an organza bag for you to keep it in, or so it is all ready for you to give to someone special. Wearing handmade jewellery is just sooo nice!
