Lotus Journal Diary

This lotus journal makes a great space for writing down insights, aha moments and even drawing and sketching when words are not adequate to convey the feelings and thoughts. The cover is made from dusky pink cotton fabric with a lotus patch that was hand printed using traditional woodblock. This little diary makes a wonderful gift for loved ones or yourself. Filled with 144 blank, unlined pages of 135gsm natural white eco friendly paper. 100% post consumer recycled pulp. Chlorine free. Handmade paper on the inside cover pages. 10.5 x 15cm (4" x 6") or approximately A6 size. Attached elastic as closure. Arrives gift wrapped in simple and minimal. Handmade in New Zealand.

The saying "No Mud No Lotus" by Thich Nhat Hanh is explained with the understanding that without hardship (the mud) in life we cannot truly understand happiness (the lotus), hence we should not discriminate the mud or hardship. Instead we have to learn how to embrace hardship with tenderness and compassion. May this little journal be a reminder for the writer to live courageously.
