Purpleheart Mechanical Pencil

This is a mechanical pencil made out of Purpleheart wood with gold plated fittings.

Much like other mechanical pencils this has lead inside that you can extend as it wears out. You simply push the button on the top to reveal more lead.

Replacement lead can be purchased at any stationery shop as they are standard size.

When freshly cut Purple heart can range from grayish/purplish brown to a vibrant purple.
Upon exposure to UV light and age the wood can become dark brown with a hint of purple.
Often, if stored away from light for a while, it will bring back the purple colouring. A very interesting and unique wood :)

Purpleheart is quite durable and the grain has a nice textured feel.
A nice slimline pencil you can use everyday.
