Tuatara

Black Linocut pint of a Tuatara. The print is printed onto an A5 sized piece of white textured card. The card is 250gsm.

This print is inspired by the Tuatara I saw in a recent trip to Orana Wildlife Park, Christchurch New Zealand. This particular Tuatara that I have based my design on was giving me a very haughty look while I took its picture, I wanted to capture this expression while also highlighting their prehistoric appearance.

Each print is handmade using the linocut technique which is a relief print that uses linoleum as the surface into which the design is cut and printed from. Each print is craved, inked and pressed by hand. Water based inks are used on each design which may smudge or run if they come into contact with water.

Prints will be shipped in a New Zealand Post bag for safety. All New Zealand Post bags automatically come with a tracking number which will be provided to you. Shipping may take 2-4 business days, or longer if being shipped to a rural address. Free collection from me is available if you are in the Wellington Region.
